Onion Juice Remedy
Onion juice is an excellent natural immune booster because it contains quercetin. So, you can drink it if you feel as if you are coming down with something! If you are already on medications for an infection, you can also drink this as it will also provide an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory effect to help your healing. Too, as an aside, it tastes delicious. I like to put a little salt and garlic powder, which makes it resemble a low key version of french onion soup ( minus all the cheese, pieces of onions, bread, etc.). This broth is very easy to make and effective!!
- 1 large, white onion
- 36 oz water
- 2 tsp garlic powder
- 1-2 tsp Himalayan salt
- Take a large white onion in about 36 ounces of water and simmer on low for about 2 hours.
- Once complete, strain the juice and you can keep onion for making other recipes. Place about 2 tsp garlic powder and 1-2 tsp of Himalayan salt ( salt to your liking) and stir into the broth.
- Enjoy about 12 ounces per day of the juice (which should last you about 3 days). I prefer to divide the juice up three times a day. You can take 4 ounces in the AM, at noon and in the PM
