Have you struggled with being able to schedule events because you are uncertain about what possibilities lie ahead? If this sounds like you, you may need to consider Third Eye Chakra balancing with the keto diet! Read the article and learn six different ways to open up your Third Eye Chakra.
First, let’s review the Third Eye Chakra
What does opening the third eye do?
The Third Eye Chakra, also known as Ajna, is your sixth chakra. It is widely responsible for your ability to see into the future! It also plays a significant role in your gut instinct or intuition. When this chakra is open, you can plan things for the future and have that “sixth sense.” It is the center of our wisdom, spiritual insight, and intuition 1. When the Third Eye Chakra is open, we act on our inner vision and act upon our impulse (make us stronger)2. We also have insight into what we can see beyond this physical world, and we have clairvoyance.
What does an overactive Third Eye Chakra mean?
If you have found that you are out of touch with reality and live in a fantasy world, you may have an overactive Third Eye Chakra. An overactive Third Eye Chakra sign is overindulging in a fantasy world while losing touch with reality. Another symptomatic manifestation is being overly concerned or fearful about the phantasmagorical visions passing before your mind’s eye3.
Next, how can we open the Third Eye Chakra?
Fortunately, there are many ways to open the Third Eye Chakra. I will go through each of them and include my theory on how you can attain Third Eye Chakra balancing with the keto diet. When you are reviewing the different methods, it is vital to do at least one of them. You do not have to do them all unless you want to, of course!
1. Meditation and Yoga
Meditation is hands down one of the best ways to open up your Third Eye Chakra! When you are meditating, try to visualize a violet flame and say affirmations such as, “I can see.” Another great way you can help open the Third Eye Chakra is by massaging the area between your eyebrows. Touching this area will “wake up” the connection with this chakra! When I meditate, I like to put on the corresponding music for that particular chakra. For example, I will put on meditation music for the Third Eye Chakra when balancing this chakra. You can listen to a meditation mix I made for this chakra here on YouTube.
Yoga is another fantastic way to open up your third eye chakra. The certain poses which help to open up the Third Eye Chakra include Child’s Pose (Balasana), Puppy Pose (Uttana Shishosana), Legs Up the Wall Pose (Viparita Karani), Lizard Pose (Utthan Pristhasana), and Dolphin Pose (Makarasana). I do yoga just about every day and find it very fulfilling and feel like it is wonderful for chakra balancing.
I have a subscription to Yogadownload.com and I love it! They have a variety of different styles of yoga to choose from; it all depends on what type of yoga you feel up to for the day! It doesn’t matter if I am doing Yogadownload’s power yoga or kundalini yoga, I feel so rejuvenated when I am done!
2. Gemstones and essential oils
Gemstones and essential oils are great ways to open your third eye chakra! Not only are they suitable for meditation, but you can carry them around in your pocket or purse to absorb any negative energies. Protective Crystals & Gemstones repel away negative energies with a force field as the magnet does 4. Inside your energy field, also called Aura, the crystal amplifies its protective energy to push away negative energy; because it is a protective crystal. The gemstones that pertain to this chakra include Lapis Lazuli, amethyst, fluorite, tanzanite, clear quartz, and star sapphire5.
If you haven’t learned already, you know that I am a big proponent of yoga! Yoga is one of the great ways to open your third eye chakra! When you are doing yoga for the Third Eye Chakra, it is essential to have an open mind and see things from all perspectives! Focusing on forwarding bends or and of the child’s poses will also serve to stimulate this chakra. The focus is to see things from all stands for the Third Eye Chakra- all poses right-side up, upside down, twisted, or eye closed 6.
4. Incorporate Third Eye Chakra foods
Third eye chakra balancing foods are another great way to open up this chakra. If you are doing a strict keto, it is essential to pick the Third Eye Chakra foods that are the lowest in carbohydrates. Purple kale and purple cabbage are excellent for balancing this chakra! I like to use purple cabbage and make a salad. You can also use certain types of berries with an indigo hue, such as blackberries or blueberries.
Even though these berries are full of antioxidants, I would still stick to a smaller portion size of about 1/4 of the cup. If you eat much more than that, then you can affect your ketosis. If you like eggplants, you can incorporate these in small portions as well (about 1 cup of eggplant would equate to 2.3 net carbs).
After you are not doing a strict keto diet and start doing some keto-carb cycling, it will be easier to cycle in these types of foods. Please read my article here on keto-carb cycling.
5. Keto diet and Third Eye Chakra Opening
Overall, my theory is that the keto diet pairs very well with the Third Eye Chakra opening. If you haven’t listened to my Third Eye Chakra podcast, I will encourage you to do that ( I mention how the keto diet may help there). You may wonder how the keto diet can help with clairvoyance, intuition, and self-esteem. Again, as I’ve mentioned in previous podcasts, it all comes down to those feel-good ketones beneficial for your brain function. The brain prefers ketones instead of glucose. When making ketones, your mind is sharper, which will help you see into the future and want to go with your intuition. The ketones, in turn, will affect your self-confidence.
My theory is supported because it has repeatedly been proven how the keto diet can optimize your brain function! The ketogenic diet (KD) is a low-carb diet that substantially changes the body’s energetic matrix, including the brain. Preclinical studies, case reports, and case series have demonstrated the antidepressant and mood-stabilizing effects of KD. When you choose to follow a keto diet, you are optimizing your brainpower, optimizing the pineal and pituitary gland. If these glands are optimized, then your Third Eye Chakra will be more willing to open up.
6. How about fasting?
So, your next thought may be, “Can fasting help to open up the Third Eye Chakra?” Maybe after you read the above paragraphs and learned how ketones could help with clairvoyance, you thought about fasting. My answer to this question would be, “yes.” Overall, I have felt that when I fast or do keto, it has helped me be more self-confident, and it has helped me plan more for the future.
Studies linking the keto diet to clairvoyance?
My theory on third eye chakra balancing with the keto diet is based on studies linking ketosis with improved mental clarity. Recent studies have concluded that fatty acids can benefit brain functions like clarity, focus, and concentration. Since some brain areas can only burn glucose, the liver produces glucose from protein if we don’t eat carbohydrates. After a few days of keto-adaptation, the body and brain can run effortlessly on ketones reducing swings in blood sugar levels and insulin response that commonly occur with greater carbohydrate consumption7.
Another fact that has helped me is that monks or people who have taken on fast for days(in ketosis) have an increased ability to reason with the future, feel optimistic, and become actualized. They fast to quench their human desires, which helps them rise above all wishes to achieve nirvana and end all suffering 8. In fact, for Crown Chakra balancing, you have seen that it is recommended to fast to help balance this chakra and connect yourself with a Higher Power.
Keto Diet and Chakra Balancing
I started this blog because I wanted to educate people on how the Keto Diet goes right with balancing your chakras. I feel as if the keto diet helps with losing weight and helps to put you in an optimal mental state for chakra balance. When we have those feel-good ketones, we feel optimistic, and as a result, we are more opt to want to balance those chakras! You can also acheive the same results with fasting! However, that being said, fasting is not for everyone, and the keto diet mimics a lot of the same effects of fasting without the side effects.
How long will it take to open my Third Eye Chakra?
Overall, it is essential to understand that it may be a while before you can attain a fully balanced Third Eye Chakra. Do not be surprised that if you have to work at it for a time or even need to see an advanced healing practitioner help you! Fortunately, there are a lot of resources out there that can help us.
